Acne and Smoking

A questionnaire on smoking habit was given to 350 acne patients
and 350 patients with other skin diseases in a skin clinic in
Tehran, Iran. Of these, 293 acne patients and 301 patients with
other skin diseases completed the questionnaires. After adjusting
for smoking habits of men and women, the author did not find any
statistical association between acne and smoking.
