Publication: J Dermatol. 2005 Mar;32(3):169-73.

In this study, 175 patients were divided into 3 groups, which receive:

• 0.1% adapalene gel
• 5% benzoyl peroxide lotion
• Combination of adapalene and benzoyl peroxide

Twelve patients were subsequently excluded (for non-compliance of the regimen and allergic reaction). When the authors studied the result, they found no difference in efficacy or side effects in all three groups.
