Childhood acne, present in infants since birth, in weeks-old
infants, or 3-months to 6-months old babies, may signal an underlying
disease, reaction to drugs, ointments, and ingestion of toxins.
Childhood acne may also persist into adolescence, and may be a
risk factor for severe acne after puberty.
