In this study, the author tested the efficacy of two-forms of
clindamycin phosphate, a common topical antibiotics used to treat
acne. They find that in a test of 592 patients after 12 weeks,
a new water-based gel of clindamycin 1% is slightly better tolerated
than the traditional topical solution form. In all, a reduction
of 65% in acne lesion count was observed with both forms of this
antibiotics.
