Lasers and Light Therapy for Acne

The authors reviewed various laser devices, including those that
interact directly with certain chemical compounds called porphyrins
produced by Propionium acne (the acne causing bacteria) and those
that target the sebaceous glands; as well as other devices using
light and radiofrequency to treat acne. Although the authors note
that these devices are promising, they still need long-term data
and more studies.
