Non-Acne Uses of Isotretinoin

In addition to acne, isotretinoin can also be used to treat:
- Psoriasis
- Pityriasis rubra pilaris
- Condylomata accuminata
- Skin cancers (basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma)
- Rosacea
- Hidreadenitis suppurativa (acne inverse)
- Granuloma annulare
- Lupus erythematosus
- Lichen planus
In case of skin cancers, combination of isotretinoin and interferon-alpha-2a
may be more effective than isotretinoin alone.
