Treatmetn of Psoriasis Flare Up after Efalizumab
Title: Psoriasis vulgaris flare during efalizumab
therapy does not preclude future use: a case series.

The authors presented 2 patients with severe chronic plaque psoriasis
who had been treated with numerous anti-psoriasis treatments with
varied results. Initially, both responded well to treatment with
efalizumab (anti-CD11 antibody, an immunesuppressant) but then
experienced a flare of the disease after missing a dose.
After the disease had stabilized, both patients responded well
to re-introduction of efalizumab. One patient required concurrent
treatment with infliximab (an antibody against tumor necrosis
alpha or TNF-alpha).
The authors concluded that efalizumab can still be administered
after flare ups of psoriasis.
