Sebaceous cyst or epidermal inclusion
cyst is a common growth of the skin, where the skin "folds"
onto intself and creating a small cyst or sac.

Symptoms of Sebaceous Cyst
The symptoms of sebaceous cysts are:
- Lump underneath the skin
- White, yellow, or flesh-tone in color
- Slow growing
- Usually small in size, but can grow to the size of a golf
ball over many years
- Painless, unless they rupture or become infected
- Filled with a thick, yellow substance with bad odor
These cysts tend to develop in:
- Scalp
- Upper back
- Back of neck
If the cysts are infected, they become:
- Red in color
- Swollen
- Irritated
- Tender and painful
Treatment for Sebaceous Cysts
Infected cysts may require:
- Surgical drainage
- Warm compress
- Antibiotics
- Surgical removal
